Leksluu inspires to close the gap between the academic and industry by sharing knowledge about the latest research, study, news and trend, which are crucial in this journey to redefine tourism to become more sustainable and responsible. By doing so, Leksluu hopes to increase the awareness of responsible and sustainable tourism among the public especially future travellers. Leksluu also engages with players in the tourism industry especially the small and medium-size enterprises on the advantages of responsible tourism that can be for their own benefits in creating value-added features, attracting visitors, improve performance as well as leaving a positive impact on the economy, society and environment.

The advent of technology and social media make it possible for information and knowledge to be shared seamlessly. There are so many travel platforms and blogs that showcasing beautiful destinations, scrumptious places to eat and enjoyable places to stay.

At Leksluu, we would like to focus on destinations, locations, places and establishments that practice green, eco-friendly, sustainable and responsible tourism. Yes, we acknowledge the limitation on practising responsible tourism in term of cost, value and whatnot. However, those who show commitment to embrace responsible tourism that has a positive impact on society, economy and environment are most welcome. After all, it is a continuous improvement collective effort that requires collaboration from all of us.

Leksluu is derived from English and Malay words namely “Relax” and “Dulu”. It loosely means to take a PAUSE, chill for a while. The current Covid-19 pandemic has forcefully paused the tourism industry worldwide. And now is our time to Leksluu or take a PAUSE to rethink and redefine the tourism industry that benefits not only us but nature, environment, society and the economy as well. Leksluu invites and welcomes all of you here and together we REDEFINE TOURISM.
